Delivery and handling fees will be charged to the Customer for loading/unloading, delivery, and collection of equipment. Fees vary based on the distance from Love It Party Hire premises from Caboolture South (4510). Unless a setup and pack-down fee has been charged and agreed upon, Love It Party Hire shall not be responsible for setting up the hired items.
When you enter your suburb in the checkout form, the delivery charge will be shown in the checkout form, unless your suburb has yet to be added into our system, usually indicated with the delivery cost ‘$1.00′ in the checkout form. Proceed with the checkout anyway and we will add the delivery cost when we email you the quote.
Standard Delivery
Delivery and pickup times are coordinated alongside other orders in your area. While we cannot guarantee a specific time slot, we will make every effort to accommodate any particular requirements you may have.
The delivery & collection cost indicated in your checkout is standard delivery only where the following conditions exist, in which case no special delivery costs apply:
- Delivery and collection can be made on weekdays during our normal operating hours (Monday to Friday, 9AM-5PM) (holiday surcharge applies when that day falls on a public holiday).
- Delivery can be accepted 1-4 days prior to the event and collection can be made 1-4 days thereafter.
- Party hire equipment that is not required to be set up (e.g. DIY gazebo, chairs, table, etc) is delivered only to the nearest front entrance of a house or building (garage, front door, unloading bay, etc).
- We can park directly adjacent to your house/venue on the street, driveway unloading area. This means that your delivery or set up area is within 10 metres from where our vehicle can park and is on the ground level of a building/venue.
- Your function is at a hotel, function room or similar venue and they can accept equipment being left in the lobby, a loading/unloading area or spare room prior to and/or after the event, which we can collect during our normal operating hours.
Special Delivery Situations
Additional charges on top of the regular delivery charges will apply for the following situations:
- Specific time – In circumstances where you require that delivery or collection be undertaken at a precise, predetermined time, rather than any time within during standard business hours, additional of $110 will be charged. For example, your event is on a rented venue and is booked only from 8am to 2pm. If you want us to collect at 3pm, then a premium delivery charge of $100 plus GST is added on top of the normal delivery charges.
- Weekdays outside normal working hours – a premium delivery charge of $110 on top of normal delivery/collection fees if you requested that your delivery/collection is made outside our normal working hours of 9AM to 5PM.
- Sunday or Public Holiday delivery/collection – additional $165 premium delivery charge on top of normal delivery/collection fees.
- Saturdays – Please note we do not do delivery or collection during Saturdays. (You can collect them from our premises but this will need to be arranged with us prior.)
- Parking access – If we can park within 10 meters, there is no extra charge. If however parking is available only 10 to 50 meters away from your house/venue on the street or in your driveway, a minimum of $66 will be added in our quote. If farther than 50m, please supply/describe more details as the extra charge will depend on the distance.
- Delivery is at the rear of the property/venue – You require your party hire equipment to be taken to and from the rear of a property. Minimum additional charge of $66 will be added to the quote, unless our delivery vehicle (usually a 4WD SUV or van with a trailer in tow) can access/park at the back of the property which is within 10m to where we unload/load the hired items.
- Hired items need to be delivered upstairs – If the hired items are taken upstairs (not at ground level), please contact us for a tailored quote as it will depend on availability of service elevator, distance from unloading/loading bay and volume of order.
Note: The website is not able to add the additional charges for special delivery situations to the cart – we will add it manually when we send you the quote.
Your Presence During Delivery
The Customer is responsible for having someone available to take delivery on the nominated date. If no one is available, additional delivery fee will be charged for a second delivery attempt unless prior arrangements have been made to leave the equipment at the front.
Bulky Items
The delivery and pickup charge only covers for one person (driver). If your order includes bulky and heavy items such as marquee/gazebo, timbre tables, or sound system, we will need you to assist the driver in unloading and loading. If you are not able, please let us know ahead of time – extra charge may apply if we need to send a helper.
If your order are non-bulky items, we would appreciate the assistance provided in unloading and loading.
When we Collect the Hired Items
From Sunday onward, we contact you to arrange a suitable time to collect the hired items.
Please note the following requirements before we pick up the items after your event:
- Items are washed/cleaned (unless you paid separately for washing/cleaning to be done by us). Otherwise, the following will be charged against your bond: minimum of $20 or at the following rates, whichever is higher: tables – $1 each, chairs – $1 each ($2 if heavily soiled), seat covers – $1 each (to be replaced if heavily soiled or stained), table cloths $5 each (to be replaced if heavily soiled or stained), and food machines – $25 each. Please discuss with us for other items. GST will be added on top of the cleaning fees above.
- The equipment will need to be stacked together at an accessible area in front of your property (such as your garage, driveway or side access closest to the front) or loading bay of a venue. Please note though that their safety remains your responsibility until we have collected them.
- For safety of our staff and of your property, we do not allow them to come past the fenced part of your property, unless this has been arranged with us prior. When we have agreed to enter your property beyond the fenced portion, you assume the responsibility for any damage that may accidentally be caused. You also ensure that our staff are safe from dog attack and other sources of avoidable harm within your property such as tripping hazards.
- Your bond will released upon our satisfactory inspection of the hired items. We aim to release your bond within 72 hours after our collection.
